Through a partnership with Keystone Native Nurseries, we have helped install and now support harvest and maintenance of a Tea Garden at the Park 39 co-working complex at 300 E. 39th Street in midtown Kansas City, Missouri (just across Gillham Road from the Pilgrim Center for Connection).
Between the remodeled school building and the newer office annex, there are hundreds of square feet of raised beds. Growing in each one is a different mix of household herbs, tea herbs, and other flowering plants.
Each bed is labeled with a sign explaining what is growing and how/at what point it is harvested.
If you have questions or would like to get involved, join us for our Tea & Garden Club meetings, each Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m., if it is not raining. We will meet at Park 39 near the raised beds (outside the main entrance), to pull weeds, harvest plants, and drink tea.
Sign up here to let us know you're coming. Or just stop by when you can.
