PILGRIM CHAPEL
At the heart of our organization is Pilgrim Chapel. Formerly the Lutheran Church for the Deaf, it is now a public chapel serving people of all faiths. The chapel is open daily for prayer and meditation from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Several groups use the chapel as meeting space, and we also host Christmas Eve services. The chapel is available for weddings and other celebrations.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
As part of our mission to serve the midtown community, Pilgrim Center hosts regular events throughout the year to provide family-friendly activities for the many families living in Kansas City’s urban neighborhoods. Our main annual events include the Spring Frolic & Egg Hunt, the Hyde Park Children’s Film Festival, and the Thanksgiving Pilgrim Run 5K Run & Walk.
ARTS PROGRAMS
For many years the chapel has been a space for artistic expression. The Heritage Musician Concerts have been a way to honor the contributions musicians have made to the Kansas City music scene, and we continue by providing opportunities for musicians, poets, visual artists, and performers of all kinds to share their gifts with the community.
Weddings
The historic Pilgrim Chapel is a popular venue for the intimate Kansas City wedding.
